Summary LOG LOW FREQ COLL MEAS

08-Nov-2007

  • measurements with VNA setup
    • 30 cm coil, delta=2.5mm, 9 turns
    • graphite and copper plates 20 x 15 x 1 cm

Slides

19 and 20-Nov-2007

  • tested AGILENT E4980A impedance meter
  • measurements with
    • 30 cm coil, delta=2.5mm, 9 turns
    • graphite and copper plates 20 x 15 x 1 cm

and compare with VNA measurements 08-11-2007.

Measure PIMS!

New coil:
* N = 14, Delta = 1.2cm + 2 * 0.2cm = 16mm
18:30: Meas PIM "full open":

  • L=17.8cm
  • 8 (?) RF fingers not in contact

19:00: Meas PIM "half open"

  • L=16.5
  • All fingers in contact (w.r.t Benoit's point o view!)

19:30: Meas PIM "closed"

  • L=15.8 (?)
  • All fingers in contact (w.r.t Benoit's point o view!)

20:00: Meas PIM "full open FAST" Went back to "open" position, use:

  • ACQUISITION MEAS TIME (here MEDIUM)
  • took 1 point/freq (for all other meas: 3 points)
  • L~=17.8
We see up to 5*10e-6 difference w.r.t Meas 18:30.

Reasons may be:

  • different alignment
  • different RF fingers contact
  • different acquisition mode

20:20: Meas PIM "full open CHECK" Nothing changed/moved from previous meas, apart from:

  • ACQUISITION MEAS TIME (here LONG)
  • took 1 point/freq
  • L=17.8
We see a maximum of 0.5*10e-6 w.r.t "FAST"
We decide that could affect the meas and continue in mode ACQUISITION MEAS TIME (here LONG)

20:30: Meas reference copper cylinder
