The 2004 Manchester Workshop will focus on the new proposals to tag leading protons at ATLAS and / or CMS as a means to discover new physics. All theoretical, experimental and technical aspects of the 220m and 420m tagging programs will be discussed.

The workshop will be held at the University of Manchester's Chancellors Conference Centre, which provides accomodation, meals and conference facilities on-site.

Topics to be covered will include :

The theoretical predictions for the central exclusive production of the Standard Model and MSSM Higgs Bosons, Radions, Gluinoballs and other exotic particles

The technical and design challenges of the 420m program, including LHC cryostat redesign at 420m, triggering and detector design

Integration with the current 220m proton tagging programs at ATLAS and CMS / TOTEM

There will also be a round the table discussion on the formation of a forward physics collaboration to design, build and install suitable detectors, including likely time-scales and funding issues.
