Overview
The 2008 Manchester Christmas Meeting will focus on the physics potential and hardware development of the proposed forward physics upgrades at both ATLAS and CMS. The joint R&D project, FP420, has been completed, and LOIs have been submitted to both ATLAs and CMS. The projects still have many issues in common however, both technical and social, and this meeting as ever will cater for both requirements.
The workshop will be held at the University of Manchester's Chancellors Conference Centre, which provides accomodation, meals and conference facilities on-site.
We begin on Saturday 6th December at 10am and finish at lunctime on Monday 8th. Conference rooms will be available until 5pm on Monday 8th for further discussion if necessary.
As most delegates will arrive on Friday evening, a social event will be arranged on Friday.
